Hypnotherapy Explained...

 

In Hypnotherapy, a deep state of relaxation is achieved through focused attention. While in this trance-like state, the unconscious mind is highly receptive to new perspectives and ideas.

The use of imagery and positive suggestions at this time can help a client imagine and actually experience him/herself in the future, as he/she desires to be. This makes the changes he/she wants in his/her life happen much faster and with less resistance, as a result of the hypnosis experience.

Lots of rumours have been spread about Hypnotherapy: "The therapist will control your mind... The therapist can make you do things against your will..." .

I can assure you that those are just rumours. Any respectable therapist would not even think about silly things like that.

I can not make you do anything against your ethics, values, or beliefs.
But you will need to agree to be hypnotised.

I can teach you to be relaxed through post-hypnotic suggestions regardless of time, place or situation. A relaxed person is healthier physically, mentally, and emotionally. I can instill positive messages in your subconscious, replacing negative messages:

"I will do it!" instead of "I'll try"
"I will eat wisely so I can wear.." instead of "I'm too fat to wear that"
"I want to be positive " instead of "I'd like to stop being so negative " ("Stop" is a negative on the self-esteem.)

And whilst there are a variety of problems that can be successfully treated with hypnotherapy, such as:
Anxieties - Eating disorders - Exam nerves - Fears
Performance anxieties with public speaking and/or business presentations
Relationships - Stress - Weight loss and more...

 

I do not provide general hypnotherapy services, but use it sometimes in conjunction with my EFT therapy sessions, especially if a client finds it very difficult to relax.
